Definitely THE best spot in NZ with a gorgeous host and great folks around. Marahau is full of character and just on the doorstep to Abel Tasman NP. But before coming to George's place you should keep the following advice in mind! (I can speak from my own experiences!) - Make sure you've already seen most of New Zealand before coming to Marahau because you won't be able to do it afterwards as you don't want to leave anymore
(I came back 3 times) You can either come to NZ or to Marahau.

It was such a pleasure to meet George. He's so a nice, cheerful and welcoming. He know everything about the National Park, and it is a great fan of all sport, rugby, soccer, kayaking, tramping and more. I am so happy to have met a real kiwi like George!
